EPL: Blow for Pochettino as Chelsea midfielder is ruled out for the season

Chelsea manager, Mauricio Pochettino, will not be able to call upon Romeo Lavia again this season.
The 20-year-old has been ruled out for the rest of the season, an official club statement confirmed on Wednesday.
Lavia joined the Blues from Southampton in a £58 million deal last summer.

However, his debut season at Stamford Bridge has been plagued by injury.
Lavia, who has only played 32 minutes as a substitute under Pochettino, will be unavailable until the 2024/2025 campaign.
“Recent medical assessments have confirmed that Lavia, who sustained a significant thigh injury against Crystal Palace back in December, will not feature again this season,” Chelsea said in a statement.
